2025.08.27
TMTS 2026 will be held at the Taichung International Exhibition Center from March 25–28, highlighting AI-driven production, smart factories, and sustainable manufacturing. The exhibition gathers over 400 exhibitors and thousands of professional visitors from 68 countries, demonstrating Taiwan’s competitiveness in machine tools and industrial innovation.
The Taiwan International Machine Tool Show (TMTS) is Taiwan’s premier industrial exhibition and one of the most important machine tool fairs in Asia. The 9th edition, TMTS 2026, will take place from March 25 to 28, 2026, at the Taichung International Exhibition Center (TICEC), organized by the Taiwan Machine Tool & Accessory Builders’ Association (TMBA). The exhibition this time is expected to attract about 400 exhibitors across 1,633 booths, covering a total area of 28,483 square meters.
TMTS 2026 will focus on its central theme, “AI-Powered Sustainable Manufacturing,” emphasizing AI integration in production processes, efficiency optimization, and the advancement of sustainable smart manufacturing. The exhibition will present six major categories: metal cutting machines, metal forming machines, machine tool accessories and components, cutting tools and measurement instruments, smart manufacturing systems including CNC and industrial robotics, and related materials, technologies, and information.
The event in 2024 attracts professional visitors from 68 places, including major markets such as the United States, Japan, China, Germany, Italy, and South Korea. Attendees encompass decision-makers, engineers, researchers, and business leaders, providing exhibitors with direct access to influential buyers and global industry stakeholders. TMTS serves as an essential platform for networking, knowledge exchange, and market expansion.
A key highlight of TMTS 2026 is the continued development of the Universal Machine Technology Interface (umati), which unifies communication protocols through OPC UA, allowing production equipment to connect seamlessly within a single intelligent ecosystem. TMBA, in collaboration with German associations VDW and VDMA, has showcased the “umati” zone, where over 20 exhibitors and 40 machines demonstrate real-time interconnected automation, emphasizing cross-industry intelligence.
Beyond machinery demonstrations, TMTS 2026 emphasizes digital transformation (DX) and green transformation (GX), integrating AIoT, predictive maintenance, digital twins, energy efficiency, resource optimization, and sustainable product design. This comprehensive approach reflects Taiwan’s leadership in advancing smart manufacturing and sustainability within the global machine tool industry.
In summary, TMTS 2026 is more than a trade show—it is a strategic platform connecting technology, industry, and innovation. Exhibitors and visitors will gain insights into the latest AI-powered solutions, industrial automation, and sustainable manufacturing trends, while fostering partnerships and exploring opportunities in both local and international markets.
